Principal's Message

Dear Students, Parents, and Community of Plaza Robles High School:

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself.  My name is Yuri Penermon and I am honored to have been selected by the Board of Education as your new Principal of Plaza Robles High School.  I am excited to be given the opportunity to support students, teachers, parents, and staff in maintaining the traditions of excellence and achievement for all students attending Plaza Robles High School.

I bring to Lodi my recent experience as an Executive Director and Principal of Natomas High School in the Natomas Unified School District, Principal of James Rutter Middle School in the Elk Grove Unified School District, and Vice Principal of Sheldon High School in Elk Grove School District. During my tenure in Elk Grove Unified, I also worked as a teacher at both T.R. Smedberg Middle School and Sheldon High School where I taught English, theatre, and business communications.  In all of these position I worked closely with students and staff on academic leadership, campus climate, student programs, discipline, and in helping to maintain a strong 7-12 grade articulation plan, thus giving students a seamless 7-12 educational experience. My other administrative experience comes from being a Program Manager at the Sacramento County Office of Education in addition to the twenty years as an educator in Natomas and Elk Grove Unified School Districts.  At the county office I worked with middle and high schools throughout the county along with Juvenile Hall and Boys Ranch encouraging students to make positive productive choices.  In addition to being a dedicated educator, I am also a proud father of three kids.  As an educator and a parent, I am proud to be in the Lodi Unified School District and am dedicated to ensuring a quality education for all students.

Over the next few months, I will be transitioning into my new role.  Once school begins, I look forward to opportunities of meeting students, parents, and the community at our various events, meetings, or individually and discuss ideas, plans, and any questions you may have.  In the meantime look for me out and about on campus in the morning, during lunch, or after school and introduce yourself.  I look forward to working with you and your children along with the community of Plaza Robles High School to build pride, respect, and academic excellence at our school.
